Well, it's been almost 24 hours since I joined this site and already it's got me picking up a brush!

My wife first came across this site and dug out the paints within a day turning our lounge into something utterly chaotic but ultimately more enjoyable and now the fever has spread. I haven't painted since I left school (some 14 odd years ago) and although I found myself rusty to say the least the experience, the challenge and the satisfaction was oddly familiar even after all those years.

I'm very new here of course and have no clue as to who I'm supposed to send this piece to or how to come to that decision so anybody with a little experience who happens to stumble across this blog please feel free to educate my simple mind.

Anyway, that's my ramblings done for, One days membership and one complete painting. can I keep up that pace? Of course not, but it will be fun trying

Cheers!

Hi Chris. Choose some people who seem friendly, or whose art interests you, and send away! I have a video in the Videos section with an overview of how Mail Art works, but your wife might already have the hang of it anyway. Just don't be afraid to send stuff to strangers - we all love it ;)

You're on a roll, Chris.

Keep going and see what happens.

That's where the fun comes in.

Thanks Alicia, I'll check those out!

Hi Chris, you might want to start looking at the different groups to see which ones interest you. When I joined a couple of years ago, new members had mentors who suggested a handful of names. (not sure if this is still happening)

One day, one piece of art, nice start.
