Incoming: Thom Courcelle, Susan McCallister, Carina Granlund, Katerina Nikoltsou, Stan Askew and Meeah W.

In compliance with current Vermont mail art statutes, Thom Courcelle has put a cow on his mail art. Thank God. I didn't want to be the one to turn him in. Looks like Thom is working on his hand-lettering. So am I. I'll send you something soon. Thank you, Thom.

Susan McCallister sent me this invite a couple of weeks ago. Congratulations, Susan on getting into the prestigious Dave Gallery which supports artists in need with helpful words of encouragement and other valuable non-monetary aid. (Ms McCallister wishes us to note that the title of her piece is not Bad Dream in the City. I just made that up.) (I make up a lot of stuff) But my thanks are fairly sincere. Thank you, Susan.

Carina has sent me bales of stuff (as have many of you) which has gone unblogged because of the war in Hungria. Luckily, a break in the fighting has allowed me to squeeze in this generous collection of things related to Finland as well as a personalized cartoon about Carina's own holy water garnered from the Land of 187,888 Lakes. Thank you, Carina.

Likewise Katerina has sent me stuff on top of stuff. Which is why we are referring to this small collection as a sampler. All of these would make lovely dress patterns on Etsy which is where I'm headed to make my fortune. The headlines screamed: "Stafford Makes Billions on the Backs of Hungry Mail Artists." However, I have been assured that Katerina has had her lunch and is not currently hungry. Thank you, Katerina. Forgive me my trespasses.

Stan Askew has been extremely generous with his ephemera collections as well as his art. Here's his latest work which despite (or because of) the cat has an ominous tone. Thank you, Stan. And here's just a portion of the loot I've accrued by making Stan's acquaintance.

I don't recommend trying to find a narrative thread. Instead dwell on the diversity of Stan's gifts.  Thank you, Stan. What did we finally agree on for your flickr credit? "From the Stan Askew Collection" or "the Stan Askew Estate"?

And finally, Meeah W. of Brooklyn sent me one of her beautiful dancing envelopes (In this instance: Skeletons dancing in rooms decorated with Meeah's trademarked "Everyday Brooklyn Life" wallpaper patterns). The envelope enclosed....

These mambo instructions. Pretty simple really. Just follow the arrows. These beautifully arrayed creatures, jazzy, vibrating seemed like the perfect thing to try on my new Etsy Converter. I fed Meeah's art into the machine and this is the startling result.

Pretty amazing, isn't it? And remember, this is just one page of an entire business plan. Here's how it works.

Thank you, Meeah and I hope you are a good sport about my jokes. I mean well and as soon as my medication is upped I will issue a full retraction. In the meantime, thank you one and all and for those who remain unblogged in my enormous lead-lined vault please be patient, your call is very important to us.

Thom, I have a large scanner. Viz, pending Meeah's contractual release, we will have that jumpsuit out to you by mid-March of 2019.

How in the world did you fit that entire cow M.A. on your print scanner? That thing was not only huge, it was also oddly shaped! Now I know that you are a true sorcerer. You are hereby dubbed: David Gandolf Stafford.

Seriously, love the other work in this blog.
