Heleen de Vaan: The morning after, but with no regrets.

Inspired the day after 18 November which was interNational Banana appreciation day, Heleen put her pen to work and did her bit.   She took every banana she had in the house and started drawing one them.  After a while it occurred to her that it would be difficult to get these bananas in envelopes.

So then the thought came to her like a flash of lighting.  "I'll take photos of the bananas and make stamps out of them", she said to herself.

And finished the day off by illustrating 11 envelopes and knitting 33 round bananas.

When interviewed by RTV Noord-Holland, Heleen  said, "I have no regrets.  I took part in interNational Banana appreciation day and now my legacy will live on forever."

Thank you Heleen.  You are inspiring.

Banana slices ! Fantastic , Heleen! See, she can "slice" things up so well.

These banana slices are happy to see this blog, they feel appreciated:

Art that changes colour over time.  What a great idea.

Wonderful! Lovely stamps. Best ideas are always right in front of our noses, maybe...
