Sure you've heard of Dali, Miro, Kahlo, and Magritte but how about Remedios Varo?
She created some of my favorite surrealist images. Slowly I am incorporating some of her pieces into my collages for you, my IUOMA friends. I bumped into her work long ago when I studied in Mexico. Hope you can check out her stuff and can tell me what you think. …

Every spring (now around February instead of March/ April) these gorgeous flowers appear in many Los Angeles gardens including mine. Heck, you see them sprinkled by the…

Don't you just love using things you have around you? And sharing it with others?
I hope the way I use these TJ stickers in my mail art make you smile.
*** TJ is short for Trader Joe's which is a franchise grocery store in the United States. At TJ, it's a daily tradition of giving out free stickers to "kids" (of all ages) as they exit the store. Over the…

Hello J!
I’ll try to answer a few of your questions but sometimes once I send something out, I don’t remember all the details of how I created it. The envelope was just a plain white envelope, coat of gesso, acrylics, dye ink pads using rubber stamps. Vintage image was sent to me by the generous Amy Candiotti. Card was ATC Strathmore Bristol. Glad you liked it!
Hello J! I just returned from a few days out of town. Will try to answer the questions about papers and technique soon.
The Glendale-Patland huge gap has been bridged handsomely. It´s time for this scribe to do celestial homework. Best from Patland
Mail time to heaven takes longer than what you are used to. I haven´t received your mail art yet. Considering that you posted early in June the piece is still within a safe time frame. I´ll keep you posted. Best from Republik van Patland.
Hi J just J
I invited youNuevo%20Provecto%20ARTE%20CORREO.docx

"...I look forward to seeing a piece of yours in my terrene mailbox. I´ll do my homework after receiving your artwork. This is nothing less than a celestial promise."
Earthling, this may be the last but certainly, it´s not the least welcome message to IUOMA you are going to receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly uncharted corner of the faraway universe called “Republik van Patland”. I would love to be the other end if you wish to trade mail art with a celestial mail artist. If that is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe
Terrene Embassy
Republik van Patland
Caixa Postal 461
Curitiba-PR
80011-970
Brazil
I look forward to seeing a piece of yours in my terrene mailbox. I´ll do my homework after receiving your artwork. This is nothing less than a celestial promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.
