Ruud just sent me an interesting message. He asked if I would like to open a Canadian Embassy here on IUOMA. Here is my reply:

“Hi Ruud,
An Embassy? Like with an Ambassador? I would make a bad Ambassador. I’m not very diplomatic at times and I know Ambassadors have to be diplomatic at all times. Lately I have been harbouring thoughts of slaughtering vast numbers of the world’s political class and that is not diplomatic. Especially Canadian diplomatic because, you know, we have a reputation for being nice. Or is it polite? Maybe it’s polite. If it is polite then I suppose it would be okay in a Canadian sort of way. Excuse me. Could you stand on that drop sheet please. I don’t want to stain the rug.
Thanks a lot, eh? 

But anyway, I think opening a Canadian Embassy on IUOMA might be a good thing. I couldn’t be the Ambassador though. I think Dame Mailarta would be a good Ambassador. Much more diplomatic than myself I am sure, and she has a spiffy fashion closet. Plus cuter! I would be willing to be the Janitor. I have lots of unused drop sheets…”
