I'm sending you a collection of my own stamps along with some retro American stamps going back to the 1940's. I will put them in the post today. I like the engraved look of the old stamps.   BF

Hello Konstantin!  I have some old American postage stamps.  I used to collect them when I was younger.  I'd be happy to mail you some if you are interested.

Bonjour Konstantin!

Sorry, but you won't be able to get a Penny Black for anything under $100 -- unless you are very, very lucky and find one on e-Bay that no-one else bids for. I get lots of catalogues from stamp dealers in the UK, and the minimum price for a Penny Black is about $180. And then you can pay up to $50,000...or probably more. As I'm sure that you know, the price of any of these early plate stamps depends on the plate number, the position on the plate, the colour, the condition, the postmark (if used), the margin, the number of plates printed etc.

Perhaps you should focus on Penny Reds (I do). They are much cheaper -- from about $1 -- and there are many, many more of them around than Penny Blacks. I have about 500 Reds, but only 2 Blacks.

Let me know if I can help further.

Regards, Val

Bonjour Konstantin!

Many thanks indeed for the New Year's collage card that you sent me -- Russian stamps and aPenny Black, a most unusual combination.

I'll be mailing you something back in the next week or so. Fill in the form carefully and the authorities might let you into the UK if you ever want to go and find some Penny Blacks there.

In the meantime, all best wishes for 2013.

Regards, Val

Thank you for sending the part of the "labyrinth"! Beautiful stamps

for the New Year 2013! ΚΑΛΗ ΧΡΟΝΙΑ!
