Bonjour Snooky & Angie! I thought I'd try your names the other way around, but prefer Angie & Snooky.

So, Bonjour Angie & Snooky! Many thanks for the punched cards and microfiche that arrived here safely yesterday. They are in the the Old Technologies box, waiting or further inspiration.

I'll mail you something back at the weekend.

Hope you are all well.

Regards, Val

Hello again!

I not only collect 110 cameras, I actually still use one a wonderful little Pentax 110 tht I got in 1981. It's hard to get films for them, but I bought a batch a year or so ago from Mr Amazon. It's even harder to get them developed, but somehow I manage (in Hungary last time!)

I'm currently collecting Polaroid cameras, and have got 11 different ones now; Some of them are below.

And, wow, you've got big floppy discs...if you don't want them, I'll give them a good home.

Thanks again in adavance for whatever goodies will hopefully come my way one day!

Thanks Angie! If you could let me have about 10 more punch cards (unfolded if possible) and micro fiches I would be very, very greatful indeed. Tee hee!

(You don't by any chance have any large 5 1/4 " or 7 3/4" floppy discs do you? I thought not: no-one seems to have them anymore, alas)

Ain't no hurry for the punces and fiches, but if they were to arrive in my mail box one day that would be very nice.

Encore, merci!

Val

Bonjour Angie and Snooky!

THANKYOU for:

i)  the Sexy Devil (oh you make me blush!) Arty Slide, which I've posted elsewhere,

ii) the punch cards. Wow, its great to see they are still around: do you have any, many, more? If so, well I do have this Outdated Technology Art project that I'm working on, and if I could get old of some punch cards.... Those punch cards bring back happy (sometimes) memories of my MA & PhD times when I spent days and weeks and months loading trays of punch cards for various computers, mostly to get a message back saying 'Error on Card 46, column 77'. Grrr!

iii) the US Cogress micro-fiches. They bring back memories, too. I quit teaching in university in 1980 to join a large Dutch publishing company that had recently bought a Wahington DC outfit called Congressional Information Services that ran a massive indexing, abstracting and micro-fiche service on Congressional publications. I was head-hunted (well I was body-hunted too, of course) to adapt the CIS system to the EU. I did, more or less, but it was about 20 years before it's time, and although we had a pretty good product, no-one really wanted it, or anything like it, till the Internet came along. Ah, the memories!

Anyway, thanks for all the stuff.

I'll be mailing you something back at the weekend,

Bestest, Val

Thank you for the card with the picture by Hans Balzer!  I'm glad that you liked the Marilyn card that I sent to Kim.  Now I need to get a card done for you and get it sent. - Gail

Clay and she weighs at least a kilo. I had a Dutch Suus in Mokum Weblog, she was giving her curious opinion about Amsterdam. But the provider of the weblog moved all blogs to another what's-it-I-don't-know and 400.000 weblogs were off line for months.

At last my weblog surfaced but the lay out has changed and pictures have gone. It's on my list to repair it but at the moment too busy with Mail Art, hihi.
