finally left this photo for you of the mail art lunch at Q in SF.  Dawg

My Mom, Dorothy Johnson Atkins, was a college professor, an artist, and an independent thinker who was talented, stubborn, brilliant, and funny.  She passed away last Sunday afternoon peacefully at home where she was determined to stay.  Here are some self-portraits she made for mail art calls I hosted as well as a painting she which represents her style of art the past few years.  R.I.P. Mom - you are missed.

mail-artists and visual poets to participate in the project 


MAIL ART OR THE ART OF THE INVISIBLE 

In this event, which will take place at the “Milpedras” studio, we will 
talk about mail art and visual poetry, experimental poetry will be 
recited and a performance will be carried out. A workshop on mail art 
will be held in the same event. 

All artworks received will be exhibited at “Milpedras” studio during the 
days when these activities will be held. 

Size and technique will be free and the deadline for the reception of 
the artworks will be April, 10th, 1012. The artworks will also be 
exhibited at http://www.elartedeloinvisible.blogspot.com, together with 
information about the activities that will be organized.

Thanks Carla, that's a great help. It leads me to think that i) I can send everyone an email saying that their Envelope has been safely received, and then at the end of the Exhibition ii) something  via the post (a postcard or a 'thank you collage' listing all the contributors. Unless I can solve the 'this is what we've got so far in the Exhibition problem' that will have to do.
