Adrienne, thank you so much for the collaged postcard. I love it. Also love all the stamps as well. Yes we should come up with a mail artist project between us, maybe a month long mail art exchange where we have to document something every day or every other day. Any ideas? I'll pop you a collage in the post tomorrow. Sorry I'm a bit behind on the mail art front right now :)

Ha ha ha - sure!

Be forewarned though: I have an Enormous list of correspondents & backlog - I get to most folks every year - year and a half! (E.g., I've been a year and a half now just trying to catch up to all that accumulated when I was without a studio for 3 months last year...)

"...stamps, letters, the postal system, travel, serendipity, quirkiness and connecting with others from around the world".  This is what you say about mail art and why you are involved with.  That´s exactly what was in the Po Box today.  Thank you!  It´s time for this scribe to do homework.  I´ll keep you posted!

Sorry it took so long to answer...

There are some people that are now doing electronic mail art, however, it is still mailed...

The posting of images/mail is Dione in this way mostly...

The art on the mail is shown, however, it is common practice to avoid posting the address space...

If you have art on the address space, simply take a picture with the member name showing only as not every person chooses to release that info worldwide or even within the community....

As for stamps, not sure what you mean...

The postage or actual stamps...

We have a group specifically for rubber stamping in mailart...please clarify

We try to keep all spam off this site but it is a full time job...

We have 16 mentors & Ruud and we still have trouble reviewing all the spam & internal quibbles between members that may not congeal well...

For example, this response is 6 months l8...

So terribly sorry...

I am returning to !t duties after a crazy 1.5 yrs, so feel free to ask me more Q's if you are still around

Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. When you joined IUOMA on december 21st, 2013 I was unable to welcome you on board.  At the time I was in a Celestial Journey far beyond the Milky Way. Now, back to planet Earth, I´d love to be the other end if you wish to trade mail art with a celestial mail artist. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe

Terrene Embassy

Republik van Patland

Caixa Postal 24827

Curitiba-PR

80510-970

Brazil

I look forward to see a piece of yours in our terrene mailbox. I will do my homework after receiving your artwork. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.

Hi Adrienne,

Yes, many wonder of is various directions, but the main interest area is Mail-Art, so the things sent through the postal system. Some show their other interests too.... Just gives you a broader view of what the mail-artists have for interests....
