Thank you for your kind invitation to the Solidarity with Japan>> Group, Val!  It will be my first group as a new member of IUOMA. 

 

I sent some mail art (a large package, actually) to a swap friend in Tokyo well before the fateful day, and did not hear anything for quite sometime.  I have since heard from her via electronic mail, and thankfully she and her family are safe... and receiving many prayers from around the world.  Still some disconcerting news coming from that area, though !!

 

And I would be most happy to send some mail art to you.  Mérci pour l'invitation!

So I got a little bored and went to the Wikipedia, the source for really good information and found something interesting about Hartlepool. It seems that a monkey was executed there during the Napoleonic Wars. Any thoughts on this? Do you think they really killed a monkey?
