Dear Leo:  thank you very much for your return.  According to the most respected Patlander-English Dictionary available, the proper word for a native or inhabitant of Patland is patlander rather than patlandian.  I look forward to your mail art. I´ll keep you posted when arrives

Earthling, this may be the last but certainly, it´s not the least welcome message to IUOMA you are going to receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. I´d love to be the other end if you wish to trade mail art with a celestial mail artist. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe
Terrene Embassy
Republik van Patland
Caixa Postal 461

I look forward to seeing a piece of yours in my terrene mailbox. I´ll do my homework after receiving your artwork. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.

A cigarette packet? Too big, way too big!

This is one of my favourite stotries about art and artists:

"During the 2nd World War, Alberto Giacometti left occupied Paris and stayed in Switzerland, where his sculptures became smaller -- so much so that when he returned to France in 1945, he was able to fit all of his work from the previous four years into six matchboxes."

(I don't think that Alberto was all that active in those 5 or so years.)

Want to support the IUOMA with a financial gift via PayPal?

The money will be used to keep the IUOMA-platform alive. Current donations keep platform online till 1-aug-2019.   If you want to donate to get IUOMA-publications into archives and museums please mention this with your donation. It will then be used to send some hardcopy books into museums and archives. You can order books yourself too at the IUOMA-Bookshop. That will sponsor the IUOMA as well.
