Bonjour Cristian!

That's great news: thankyou.

The children should make up an envelope on the theme of 'Summer' -- paintings, drwaings, collages, etc...anything is acceptable. If they could winclude the word 'Sigean' somewhere on their envelopes that would be nice. Only the front of the envelope needs to be designed.

A panel takes between 20 and 28 envelopes. If you can send more, I can spread them over 2 (or 1 1/2 panels) so don't worry about the numbers.

Do you want me to send you some of the standard size envelopes? Or would you prefer to use your own? I think I would prefer it if you used your own, because then I would get a greater variety.

I will also need from you, please, a title for the panel -- something like 'Envelopes from Class 2, Ramnicu Valcea Primary School, Romania'. Then you will have your very own panel(s)!

Please write on each envelope the address of the Mediatheque --  'Summer in Sigean', Médiathéque Municipale, 17 Rue de Commerce, F-11130 Sigean, France -- BUT SEND THE ENVELOPES TO ME at 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France.

It would be best if you put all the nevelopes in one big envelope and sent them to me.

I will need them by 25 July at the latest.

Once again...MANY THANKS!

Regards, Val

LOL... I know the term Op Art - should have realized that's what you meant, given the piece.  Actually, it's a bead weaving design I was working on - it ended up looking interesting as a visual piece in and of itself so I started sharing it in that way.  Thanks for your comments.

My Mom died recently (she was a fine artist - a painter - and she was showing and selling her work from the late 70's - also taught art) - some part of her is inside me now, sort of pushing me to do more fine art.  In my case, though, it would be a mixture of painting, sculpture, and possibly sound.  Anyway, it's interesting the things which happen when important people in your life disappear.  Sometimes it brings out something new in the one left behind.

I am an artist but I don't currently make a living through art.  I once did.  It's not a game to me, it's my life. ;)
