Jon Foster's artwork is the inspiration! His method of lifting images has really inspired me to use the packing tape- I just went the opposite direction of his idea into a meaningless void- a negative space! What a cool, positive response to zero-scaped imagery!

How would a cut out postage stamp pass the US postal services? In Greece a slight tear of a stamp is ok, I was told that the stamp must show the place (Hellas) and the amount (0.72) and then it will get cancelled and sent on its way. They really, really frown at any of my rubber stamps on the front...even on the back side they look at me in dismay ;-( but they will sent them...not too happy though.
Plastic laminated, plastics and plastic clear seem to get posted in the States because you dear people have self-stick stamps...here we are still licking and then there are some that slip off anyway!
So playing on the clear theme, I've scored out the inside of a stamp to make the stamp clear as well. I haven't sent this yet as I'm hoping to get feedback from y'all- could an art-free stamp make it through the post?? My misgivings are thus: Someone could easily cut out the cancellation mark to reuse stamps therefore the post office might not accept the stamp as…

As long as this is limited to a hand, it's OK.

One lunchtime I interrupted two naked secretaries at a University I was working at in Denmark. I was more embrassed than they were. They told me that they were photocopying themselves -- all of themselves.

Being a gentleman and a scholar, I didn't look too closely at what they were doing, of course, but I do remember that it was a Rank Xerox 1230/C machine with the additional colour feature, and quick loading tray.
