This is belated, as most recent blogs have been and many to come will be:

There is so much to think about here. Pasadena (where Stan Askew lives)--a place I never reached because I got off the train in Santa Fe. Money is well represented on this card--pennies, a nickel, a ten-dollar bill. And dice, which maybe mind-traveled from Vegas, one can never be sure. Some things I don't recognize yet, but there is the infinity symbol, always a comfort and a torture, reflective of life itself. And that peaceful face--is it in subconscious peace, or is it dead? I like its quietness, and wonder if it's someone I should recognize. See what I mean--lots to think about. Thank you, Stan.

Blake--I knew the mask was familiar! Thanks, Stan.

hi nancy ~

i very much like your thoughtful interpretation of the collage i sent. the face you describe is a "life mask" of the poet/artist, william blake, with whom i share a birthday. i am a great believer in including symbols in my collages that in some way reflect current or past life experiences.

best wishes on your creative journey!
