In 1917 it rained for 40 days. . . dams washed out, valleys flooded. . . maybe your jinx will make it happen again. BF

This morning: 46 degrees fahrenheit and rain, third day, as soon as my mail travels outside this god forgotten country it is safe from the rain. They just retracted a possible postal strike here, as if the rain isnt an obstacle in itself, I have never been found of plastic envelopes (except for some exceptions), so these letters will or will not make it despite rain..

BF had my mind twisted when he told me they had lashes of rain coming down cause I was grown up with Albert Hammonds tune "It never rains in Southern California". I am glad it was all a joke, and hopefully I have not jinxed it with this coat..
