Yes Neil, the link worked (at least in Maine, heh heh), and you know that guy's and your luddite leanings appeal to me bigtime. I still don't have a cell phone--are you giving out awards? how does one apply or get nominated?

Micheline's work reminds me of Matisse! Glad he is still kick'in! Looks like we got ourselves a Kerouac Caterwaul going on here!!!!!The many sides of both "jacks"!!!

**** I wanted to spur a conversation on peoples digital overuse and I.V. drips w/ this video, did the link work for anybody????

Great links all, I'll check out thoroughly after the brief glimpse. He's still alive at 95, and doing fantastic paintings! This is my big learn of the day.

In fact, mail-art luminary John Held Jr. recently published an interview with Lawrence Ferlinghetti in the San Francisco Arts Quarterly that focuses on LF as a painter and artist.

Erni, that cover by Ferlinghetti is gorgeous. I didn't know he'd ever done paintings as well as pomes!

Bummer the video does not work in Germany.. maybe i can find another link? basically its kind of like a "rap" about how connected we think we are with our phones that take up all our time and disconnect us form others and ourselves! Kerouac of course is right!: USE POETRY!!!!!!
