Debra Mulnick sent back an envelope I sent her a couple of months ago with an amazing folded creation inside..  Pleated for joy, as far as I can tell.

I couldn't actually figure out how she managed it (tho' she is very skilled at manipulating paper) until I turned it over.  I discovered the secret (I think): the whole thing is perforated in waves.

Exploding brains: very messy!

It’s called proto paper.  Can be used to fold different 3D patterns.  Pre perforated sheets make it easier to begin folding, than if you had to measure & score yourself.   This chevron pattern is about the simplest there is.  Patterns get way more complex, very quickly.  I’m not very mathematically inclined so complex ones make my brain explode just trying to think about how to begin.  Not a good thing.
