Happy mail week for me: Diane Keys send me this great mail art as a surprise. The part on top (if it is the top) looks like an old anatomical drawing (or a river delta??) - it's wonderful, Diane, thank you very much!

Svenja, all the DKult involves is shopping at DKmart and buying stuff you don't need. Oh, and there is a dress code, but those were just borrowed from the Martha Stuart Asemic Wallpaper School

Svenja, is this the first time you've been swarmed by the D-KULT? DK has some devoted fans. roaDKill lives?

Those definately were the gold old days. Life was so much simpler then. All I had to worry about was if I should make the wallpaper--edible or inedible, paper or plastic, flocked or not flocked. Now I've just painted all my walls beige.  Kat went on hiatus travelling ,  drinking wine in Paris, and no word on if the school will continue. And Erni's Off Scene Akademie doesn't have work study.

OMG - I've been thinking about DK's speech at the Martha Stuart School Commencement. She received the Medal of Distinction. I''m pasting it here. It was delivered June 3, 2011:

"Wow, thank you for this medal. I'm wearing my MS School Color Letter Sweater with Pride today--burnt orange and putrid green. He taught me so much about unusual color combinations and how conditioned we are to only find complimentary ones pleasing. I quote him when I say, "Better to be hated, than nothing at all." I heard the school got quite a lot of hate mail through the years, but that was mostly due to the Friday night drag shows and Black and White Trash Parties. Jim Hayes has made me feel important--even if I am unneccesary and reactionary, it's better than fading into the asemic wallpaper. The following portion of this post is offensive and R rated, as will be the Hater Line of Asemic Wallpaper I'm working on. Please don't read if you are easily offended because I'm really not up for anymore hate mail. I was inspired by Jim's MA and also some recent trashpo finds. One was a garage sale sign that has "Fuck you Bitch" written over it and another was found near the school and is a piece of paper that says "Fuck You Hard." I just hope I'm not crossing over to the dark side where Dark Wall resides. Thanks again for the award." DK's Commencement Address

As a matter of fact, Angie, I do!!!  This was my final exam piece at the Martha Stuart School of Asemic Wall Paper Design and is the biggest seller, which means it sold once. DVS has this in his office--it keeps people's visits brief.

I only had one decoder ring DVS and I sent it to you because you were my first cult follower. There is no money back guarantee though, but you can trade it in for another chunk of skunk. Angie has requested a tail or a paw

Beautiful piece. Ah, I remember my first DK mail-art, But where's the Postage Due sticker? No free D-Koder ring? Mine took about 8 months to arrive.

Svenja, glad you like it. The velum sheet on top is some "trash" from Angie Cope!
