Mail Art Call :: Contribute To Emme's Mindblowing Mail Art Archive.

My 6 year old cousin Emme is terrifically creative & has a superb talent in anything artistic. Every time she comes over, we have to do "art things." Emme asked me last time she was over for something that we could make that would really blow her mind. Yeah, she said that. Ha! :)

She has shown interest in my mail art --- art makes her happy when she's unhappy ---- so I'm suggesting a special mail art call for Emme.

THANK YOU to those of you who have already sent her mail art: Bill Porter (The Olathe Poste) and Terri Jones. I appreciate you including Emme in your mailings!

I really want to encourage Emme in her creativity. I hope you can help ---- especially since Christmas is coming up (I'm buying her tons of art supplies. She'll be thrilled) :D

If you feel inclined to, please send Emme a little something. Keep it clean, of course (I would think you will.) NOTHING REMOTELY SEXUAL; NO POLITICAL STUFF, NO RELIGIOUS STUFF. Here are a few suggestions & some of her favorite things.

I suggest lots of colors. I mean a mess of colors. Emme's absolute favorite color is blue. She adores glitter/sparkle/shine, but I would quickly say that anything too pink, ruffly, & girly might not blow her mind but instead bore her. She loves rainbows. Encouragement is appreciated :: happiness & imagination, texture, things with wings, expressive faces, art that conveys positive emotion. Educational doo-dads would be cool; you just be creative.

Let's enjoy ourselves and get rid of deadlines on this. :D Woohoo!!!

Pretty much anything you come up with that would be fun for a 6 year old gal who loves art will be appreciated.

As far as Emme replying, well, she's little; she's got school & other activities. . . You know. And I don't see her terribly often, but I've got a tiny mail art archive going just for her. Occasionally as she does pieces I can send these out for her ---- she's pretty incredible.

Please address to ::

PO BOX 23962

I'm leaving you with a few examples of Emme's personal work. Thanks!!

Oh Gin, I will definitely send her somethings. She has already begun to show how talented she is. I love when young children express themselves through art. Great job, Emme!

14.11.17 Dare Ms. Gin,  ...what a thoughtful  gesture for your little cousin...exactly , the kind of thinking that makes the world a better place. I see that Miss Emme  already has a flair for drawing faces (as you do as well)...certainly beyond the  skill-set of the average 6 year old. All best wishes for your project.
