I received a mailing today without return address called Letters of Happiness.  Inside were three envelopes.  Two have my name and address on them with a stamp and drawing of a pelican.  One envelope is blank but on the back it is written "For me Please send me."

Can someone tell me how I am to respond to this intriguing mailing?

Katerina, yes, that's true!  Thank you!

"Letters of Happiness" can be written "visually" as well: happy mail art.

Good idea, Theresa. Ahmet definitely spreads his "Letters of Happiness" worldwide!

Okay, I think I've got it now.  I was intrigued by the name "Letters of Happiness."  I think that more of us should write such letters to each other.  It's a really nice idea.

I just looked at Ahmet's page, where there are many photos of what Katerina describes. They're wonderful--such an interesting idea and way to go about it. Thanks for explaining, K.

That's your PELICAN to keep and enjoy! ;-)

Oops, upside-down, but the Pelicn is definitely for YOU, Theresa. You get to keep for your collection these beautiful "puzzle" envelopes that Ahmet designs and sends.

Then the one that says "send to me"

is the one you put your postage stamp on and address it to:

Ahmet Demir

P.K. 44

PASAPORT 35212

IZMIR,   TURKEY

.............................

(odd that he didn't have his return address)

add your return address on the envelope too,

and if you like, you can put a mail art card inside.

Ahmet then collects all the envelopes that are returned to him and

makes a composite "puzzle" picture, having postage stamps and addresses

from all over the world! They are beautiful...may you receive many more in the future.

It's very simple Theresa. You need to Make Peace With The Power of IUOMA and send it an Offering.

Thus send a $100 bill to Ruud Janssen, who will offer you a Zalop.

(If that doesn't work s end me $200, and I'll see what I can do for you: I think you have details of my off-shore bank account already.)

Regards Moby
