Katerina Nikoltsou: Jewel of a Time for the 29th of February

I have been waiting for this moment.  So at the stroke of Midnight I started opening the 29th of February Mail Art of the Clock Group. Here Katerina puts the Jewel of a Time in a handmade envelope.  Yes, those are real cultured pearls and a red ruby attached to real painting.   Something Katerina is famous for in the Mail Art world.

Thank you Katerina & hope you enjoy this extra day.

Ha! Too funny..."real cultured pearls and ruby"?

Well, ok, REAL acrylic painting (cut-ups)...

Happy Leap Day!

Whew! I was worried that these "hand-made" envelopes with precious jewels inside

might rip apart in postal machines and never arrive. Also, the mag. pages are slippery,

and the Greek postage stamps are "lick 'em", and didn't stick, and the postal clerk didn't

like that I used tape :-( Geez! So happy to see that some have made it to their destinations, yay!

Now there are more conservative, "typical" plain white envelopes and cards sent out today

for the Feb. 29 postmark...they should not have any problems...but they are somewhat "dull"...sigh.

Thanks for blogging the Jewel-of-TIME, InSeine!
