So true, De Villo. Much of Karen's work visually contains wisdom, experience, and philosophy, putting in our hands a sort of simultaneous reflection of and relief from the dark banalities of life. Here's one she did in honor of Angie and Snookie:

I'm a huge Karen Champlin fan - she's The Champ to me. I've posted comments saying she invented modern visual poetry, which of course is impossible for a single individual to have done. Although I do believe she invented Confessional Vispo. This woodblock piece is a real departure for her, a beautiful piece, & I wonder what inspired this direction. Here is some classic KC:
