Case Sensitive - from Marie Wintzer, Japan.

I know this is not strictly a Heart Matter, but thin skin IS a matter of the heart. And I'm with Marie here - living with Rhino's for real - the people AND the animal kind - MAN it can be bitter!!

Shredded skin, thats what happens in sensitive cases - so why cant people just treat as "Fragile Handle with Care" more often?   The note from Marie reads " A case sensitive boekie for you, inspired by your notes for the book binding course and the triangle books" - and the rest I'm not writing its private! I had sent Marie the notes I hand out at the course - of COURSE she made the best triangle book I've seen so far :-)

Its innovative, exciting (a closed book for sure) and conceptual all in one small format. The triangle book is an origami fold book, usually in - yes, you guessed, a triangle shape.  Marie sewed two triangles onto a rectangular cover - ALWAYS out the box is Cherry Blossom! And the sensitive case - its hyper-sensitive :-). Its the Ether you see - its a strange place which never closes. Its a meeting convolution.   Its a hiding place too.  We've never had a case like this one. A Sensitive case. Inside the folds, secret message lie, waiting to be unearthed.  And in Ether Convolutions, NOTHING is easy. Robin Hood hhhmmm... Amazing transference conceptually of ideas into format Marie. Also - saying so much with so few words - a strong message for sure.

Hiding in the Ether. Hiding at the Case Centre.  But the arrows still show the way. This Case is Never Closed.

It looks intriguing, Marie...how it folds  in and out! Must be amazing to handle and open mysteriuos places! Beautiful...and beautiful photos, too, Cheryl. I have a few unfinished "spanakopita" triangle boekies that I started after a "triangle folded" piece that Lesley once sent...(like the way in Greece they make the cheese and spinach pita pieces.) but this triangle-book of Marie's is way advanced! How about some class notes to Greece, Cheryl? Please ;-)

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that the photos are top top. I have tried taking pictures but this book is quite stiffly folded and won't behave. Very difficult.

Thanks DVS, and Cheryl, thanks for this fab blog!! Triangle sandwich books are something completely new to me and as soon as I got your course notes I felt like trying. I don't know why, it's a bit compulsive I think. Anyway, I really had fun making it, I'm happy you like it! Thank you for always showing me the way to new things!

This is amazing Marie, yes definitely the best triangular book I have seen, it puts our attempts to shame. You seem to spend so much time and effort into your work - do you have any time for other normal human stuff like sleeping? Hmm I shall have to try and work out how you made this.... Thanks for sharing Cheryl! I need another workshop on triangular books.
