Ancient Asemic Text.

Heather always sends thought provoking artworks – this is no exception. An asemic textual fragment, aged and shadowed. I am reminded of Phoenician Alphabet scrips from the 5^th century, the marks here embedded in paper instead of basalt. Maybe its not paper. Its feels like a coating, the skin of a wall.

Overleaf – “holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind blowing on the land, or on the sea, or on any tree” - Revelation. The Sealing in the Foreheads. Heather seals the sacred words behind silver shellac.

Buried Words. Ancient Words.

The Color rubbing off onto my skin.

There are cracks appearing from its path through the mail system. Time Cracks. Journey Fractures.
