Ebay Does it Again? $8,000 for Mick Boyle, John M. Bennett, John Evans, Ray Johnson (but no Richard C)

Jon Foster posted this on FB. This one even I don't believe. Does anyone know about this?

I'm saving my pennies for a Richard C!

Thx Jayne, Investigative Mail Art at its best.

I have an extensive Mick Boyle collection, including a shred of his jeans.

Serious inquiries only, please.

Once again I put on my librarian / detective hat and...

From the listing I found that the seller of this eBay listing is phuttinger. Item ships from Cincinnati.

phuttinger is Peter Huttinger, an Ohio-based artist, private art dealer and publisher. This mail art listing is also featured on his website, Volatile [redux] Art, Books and Editions - https://volatilebooks.com.

PH has a special collection in the Rare Books and Manuscripts Library of the OSU. https://library.osu.edu/finding-aids/rarebooks/peterhuttinger-cms12....

I'm sorry if I confused things by mentioning Richard C. He has nothing to do with this listing. My point was that he is usually involved in these Ebay-mail art situations.

Ray Johnson art can fetch high prices. John Evans pieces can sell well. I did not realize our Mick was in that league.

If you had a good Ray Johnson, seems like you'd go to a dealer/gallery.

Oh, I made a mistake, thanks to Jon Foster.

Ha! This is funny.

I am so glad that I have an original Richard C.

I'm glad you found this De Villo. Wow, 1978 seems so long ago.
