Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am meting out parts of my life in small portions, I’m trying to do tiny bits of things whenever I can snatch some time. For instance, I’m a little behind in posting about mailart received, I’m sending out little bits as I can, and generally dealing with other obligations the same way.

We just had a bit of a disaster at our house yesterday afternoon. We had our furnace ducts cleaned for the first time since the house was built in 1901. The ducts are spanking clean on the inside, but there is a film of black, sooty dust on every single surface in my house now. Seriously. Rugs, curtains, furniture, and even papers and coats on a coatrack.

Since I had to go to a meeting last night, I came home at 9:00 and cleaned till midnight. Got up this morning and began again. It’s a good thing I have lots of rags. And a good vacuum cleaner. The washer and dryer were running after I went to bed, and I have back spasms. This is a break I am forcing myself to take and then I will do some intense dusting.

Just letting everyone know so they can understand if I haven’t yet blogged about mailart received. I refuse to quit doing what I love to do, so it’s housework triage time.

Sounds discouraging and backbreaking!  I wish I had some house elves to send over.  Don't worry, I think we all understand life has a nasty way of getting in the way of art.

I gave the last industrial one I had to the guy who cleaned the ducts! I’ve got disposable surgical masks and a CPAP that filters things out when I’m asleep. Made major progress today in spite of myself. Thanks!

maybe you should be wearing a disposable dust mask.♥
