Katerina Nikoltsou: Super Moon - September 27, 2015

The Super Moon is Coming, the super moon is coming!  And yes, that's real paint you see there.Late on Sept. 27, 2015, in the U.S. and much of the world, a total lunar eclipse will mask the moon's larger-than-life face for more than an hour.

But be careful of the side effects.  Some of you may experience the urge to turn envelopes inside out and use them for sending mail art!  What a great idea.

Thank you Katerina.  I understand that there is a prize for the persons who comment on this blog with a photo of their Super Moon.  I just hope it isn't raining tomorrow night.

Oh, beautiful pics! I woke at 4 a.m. to see the eclipse/ blood moon,

At 9p.m. saw Super Full Moon rising...that was nice!

I'm still up too, and we had a clear night. And then I had the bright idea to go get the tripod.  And yes, it was blood red.  (Taken with a x60 zoom)  Time for bed!
