RAK? sends mystery mail

No identification on this so I'm assuming it's a RAK! Any, whoever you are, I love it and thank you! I'm sure you knew I would not be able to obey your command "Do Not Open" --but it was a challenge removing all those staples! The whole thing is just incredibly charming and I love the photos of the people inside.…

Linda French's ATC's

I received a beautiful envelope with two Linda French ATC's. The one on the left is called "Landscapes Seascapes Dreamscapes" and the one on the right is "Martha and I Were Never Really That Close" because it's made out of a bit of packaging from a Martha Stewart scoring board. The second photo is an ATC that I started with Linda's adds, the woman's face and the handwriting beginning "I am" and the third is a new Trio Jam start!…

Sheri Rice loverly PC

Sheri sends a PC with the images of stained glass windows and an enigmatic framed birdie -- many layers of paint and paper and punctuation! The reverse side is pretty marvelous also, and includes a baggage claim ticket which might come in handy. I love the design on the back of the PC--looks African.…

Cuan Miles' provocative art from S. Africa

Cuan's art is thought-provoking and deep. I could look at the first image for hours (and will). He also sends a terrific poem. I won't say much more about it -- look a long time, for yourself!…

Finley Union's Boekie!

Finley has created a brilliant little fold-out boekie. I have to figure out how to cut and fold this way. It makes a really nice little book that you can see one page at a time or all at once!…

Judy Staroscik's Adds to our Buddy Jam

Here's Judy's very beautiful take on the Buddy Jam I sent -- wavy lines, bubbles, and a blue and yellow egg! And, her envelope with a stamped map (Paris?) is gorgeous, front and back!

Alana Schlotter -- thank you for the marvelous painted and stickered PC

I really enjoy the textures of this card with its layers of paint and half torn stickers--and the tiny word "hope" near the bottom....

Mail Art Martha's crow

MAM sends me a quick sketch of her crow--evidently this one and a couple of others follow her around the neighborhood (being bribed with dog biscuits) and fly around her while she walks. It's a good thing there aren't too many doing this! But I love crows and I wish I had "tame ones" to walk with me. Also she sent a sketch of a man relaxing at the beach, which makes me really hope warm weather is really on the way soon. Plus a wonderful artistamped anti-war envelope! Always timely. Thanks!…

Maria Teresa Cazzaro's Beauties

Always wonderful to receive mail art from someone new to me! Terry sends 2 original collage/found poems. The colors on the larger (PC size) one are just fantastically dark and magical. I don't yet know what the Italian text says but you bet I'm going to find out. This PC is marvelous to the touch, many layers of paint and glue and paper, rough and smooth. One edge is…

Minneapolis Gnome's #9 "Another Crappy Mini-Zine" and much more

Ermahgad!!!!!! The Gnome warned me about this mailing, and here it is! As always, in an extraordinary envelope, this time a really nice hand-drawn piece (front and back) about the "right of assembly" which has great importance for us "assemblers" of Mail-Art! Notice that the postage on the envelope is ALL about the same subject -- amazing that you would have all these stamps, Gnome, and be able to put your hands on them when you needed them! And your Gnome artistamp at the end of the…

Jorgia Jacobs sends another Fabulous Bunch of Stuff Part 1

Jorgia loves to do these complicated little packets. This one is a book made out of magazine paper, interesting in and of itself (I keep trying to read the stories). Each page has little packets attached with more stuff, all of which will find its way back into the Mail Art stream as I use it in my own mail art! I love this kind of recycling! Oh, and there's a theme -- the light side and the dark -- you'll see why.…

Debra Mulnick, my Idaho neighbor, with a PC that speaks to us today

Debra sends this altered PC all about (to me) privacy, and lack of it -- the paranoia continues on the flip side with an eye, the words "exhibit D" etc. Love it! Strikes home for sure! As the great Satchel Paige said, "Don't look back, they might be gaining on you." …
