Jazz ATC's from Denise

A while back I sent Denise Woodward a PC that had this phrase on it: "In modern jazz every session is a trial of manhood." She liked it so much she made these ATC's for me! They are perfectly rendered -- I can't say how much I love them! And she "framed" them on this stiff notebook divider from a music school! The woman is amazing!…

HAUL from Jon Foster

I got this humongo package of stuff from Jon today! First, all this ephemera--stamps, 'toons, stickers, book pages, photos, etc. Then, an Add & Pass along with a copy of a Richard C. poem I had not seen before. The poem says, "Funny, it doesn't look like a poem." Then, to top it off, an Anthead Collab boekie! I've posted a couple pages from the Anthead and I'm sure when it…

Jay Block

The postal service was unkind to Jay's envelope, or perhaps I should say they participated in the tearing of Jay's tear-it-up mail art! Either way, here's the whimsical front of the envelope, with its little robotish man on the front (I have repaired him a little as his arm was off). The back of the envelope has a very nice Jay Block piece (also assisted by the postal service).…

Chris Wells Poetry

I am such a huge fan of Chris' art and poetry. These speak for themselves. Note, however, that the flip side of the cut-up card says "no art" -- good to know. Art can be dangerous.…

Judy Staroscik's ATC

Judy takes the concept of bizarre animal to a whole nother level with this duck-owl-butterfly-little-old-lady-in-a-red-hat.

Finley Union's 1st IUOMA-inspired Card is GREAT!

Finley Union sent me this terrifically complicated and fun card, which is totally decorated front and back. He sent me a BIG packet of wonderful stuff, so the card was in this envelope with the chocolate devouring critter on it.…

Matthew Stolte's amazing painting and ARTISTAMPS

I am so excited--these are the first artistamps anyone has ever sent me! And they're gorgeous. So is the little painting, which has a tiny sticker on it that says "pass" but I don't think I will.…

Olivia Arrow's minizines

TWO minizines arrived from Olivia today! Both are, to use a word I really don't like much, adorable. But they are. I especially love the little frog in a top hat.…

Leap Day Clock PC from Dean

Year of the Monkey from Juana

Juana Almaguer sends me this hand carved print ATC of SAM, the monkey who went into space for N.A.S.A. It's so beautiful and sad.

Terrific Leap Day Latin clock from Finnbadger

He must have seen how much I like tissue paper--this clock has a very complex history which he explained to me but my brain is fried right now so I don't remember it all. Something about how the Romans had two 24ths or two 26ths in February? And this wonderful erasure poem inside the fabulous clock envelope.…

Fast Eyes' Envelope

Don't know how this got through the postal service! Stark raving nudity!

Fast Eyes!

Fast Eyes sent me a zine, beautifully collaged (is that a verb?) vintage postcards of damn, waterfalls, etc., with outsized birds and little people here and there doing incongruous things. Her imagination is amazing. I don't think it would ever have occurred to me to place these elements together this way. Love the bookmark and other bits, too. …

LIGMA's imagination

LIGMA sent me two pieces a little while ago -- the two-faced kitten ATC for the "Bizarre Animal" challenge --hand-drawn and painted beautifully. And the hand-carved print. There is something deeply appealing in LIGMA's art -- it always seems a little sad and is always lovely. Very honest emotionally. …

THREE NEW RICHARD C. POEMS!

During the past week Richard C. has been on a tear! He's sent me these three poems, one in an envelope and two as PC's. I think they're all brilliant, but I have to say the one with the little intestinal tract guiding the reader is my fave. But then, there's a lot to be said for "It feels like I must have cut myself talking."…
