You should see this in person. The colors just glow! It’s beautiful. My apologies for the glare on the photo.…Continue

And, what can I say about Richard Baudet? I would be thrilled to see anything done with his pen, but it is special to see that lovely script addressed to me. There’s a small sticker with my name on it that I’m not sure I can part with, a friendly note and an uncancelled global stamp…Continue

It’s always a good day when there’s mailart.
Yayoi’s collage knocked my socks off. Wish I were as talented as she. I just don’t have the knack of putting many pieces together so that they look like they belong together. Yayoi does! I like the envelope , too. Is that a…Continue

Wow, this is beautiful! Kristen sent me an ACE with a combination of gelli plate printing, stamping, sticker and shiny bits along with a promise to do some adding and passing. I’m happy!
Well phooey, the shiny bits don’t show up as nicely as they do in real life.…Continue

Silky fabric slithers on the envelope, wonderful “Lady of the Wind” drawing inside.
I just figured out why it took so long to arrive. It’s only got part of my address! But, deft sleuthing by our postal heroes got it here at last!…Continue

Mahvelous Dahlink! Recycled Paper Source bag envelope, little envelope of goodies, an add ‘n pass, $100 Resist currency, and (best for last) a mighty fine collage!…Continue
Wonderful split personality Arttower card featuring both of him, towers, and his snakemonkey! The Beatles were right! “Everybody’s got something to hide, ‘cept for me and my monkey!”
But what do I know? I possess neither monkey nor towers...There could be a snake in the basement, but that’s just conjecture. …Continue

Two week’s ago, Debra sent me one of the best mailart packages ever! It brought back memories of elementary “picture days,” boys with their hair slicked back, girls in neatly pressed dresses, and a very frazzled teacher who looked like she could use a drink...maybe a double!
I am ashamed to admit it was buried on my art table when a glacier of old magazines calved and trapped it until I did some emergency housekeeping. I keep a tidy house, but that is the one room where glorious chaos…Continue
I’ve been looking at this “AHEAD” street sign for months, just standing there on the corner, incomplete. I will admit that my first inclination was to paint a dripping severed head, but I’m feeling very happy and expansive today, so I slapped the paint on the cardboard and inveigled my husband and neighbor into placing this instead. MaybeI’ll do he severed head after somebody rips down this one.…Continue

I can’t believe how Mike comes up with new ideas all the time! Today, I got a checkerboard card, approved by the Naval Censor no less! Look closely at the back. There’s a fascinating pattern going on there.…Continue
Manda’s mailart in shades of blue came today. Envelope in blues and purple, sealed with a wax turtle seal on the back, and a beautiful photo of periwinkles. Thank you, Manda.…Continue

BIG Envelope arrived today from Momkat. Inside: an altered card from Katerina and an add& pass book started by Jon Foster. Buried inside the book: three add & pass pages from Jacqueline K, Ed Giecek, and Jon Foster. AND a chain mail letter titled, ONE EARTH MAIL ART. …Continue
...hit “Photos” on the main page, started with the highest number (the oldest photos) and worked your way back to the newer ones? It’s kind of fun to see how things have evolved.

Mike sent a nicely textured postcard. It’s made from watercolored paper strips woven together and then sewn around the edges. Great idea! Anybody want to give me a sewing machine? …Continue
In the ultimate spirit of ecological support, the envelope is made from a recycled calendar page, made from images of recycled GREEN plastic bottles. Good on ya, Brooke!…Continue

I started out with good intentions tonight. I was just going to do a nice dotted envelope for someone and then it just happened--I went totally off the rails...And it was FUN! For four hours I just dotted my little heart out until I passed into a state of mindlessness that I could never achieve with prolonged meditation even on my best days. Ajahn Brahm would've been proud of me!
I made an envelope that is truly worthy of the Museum of Bad Mail Art! It's so ugly that I've fallen in…Continue
Hmm... never thought about the wild aspect of bewilderment before, but the emphasis is apt enough after hanging out on the telephone for a good chunk of the morning reporting a fraudulent charge on my credit card. I’m ripping handfuls of hair and frothing at the mouth (just a little bit).
MP helped lighten the mood around here, though, with this watercolored fold out card! Thanks for that! Sweet image on the back makes me want to smile, too!…Continue
Today’s bounty included the handydandy handcrafted envelope bearing three postal portraits of not so late governor of Puerto Rico, a seashell postcard stamp, a tropical sticker asking, “First-Class...Are you sure?” The stamps are uncancelled, like the majority of the stamps on mailart envelopes I receive. The tropical sticker is right above the words, “Anything’s Possible.” I suppose the sticker’s right, because inside the envelope was a secret mission, which I plan to complete.…Continue
