Brain Scrambling VisPo from Bil Kopeland

Toby Tweet 124--Toby the basset hound seems to have inspired this VisPo that is a cross between a shopping list, todo list, holiday greeting card, personal journal, illustration of English as a second third and fourth language, manifesto, invention log-ideas that ended up on the scrap heap,  commentary, comic monologue, proof that our brains work like predictive text…

In Flux Mona and Urban Boekie - from Cheryl Penn

I wonder how Mona would have reacted back then had she known the extent of her future fame. Which woman has provided more inspiration, undergone more transformations through the ages? Cheryl once again found the perfect starting point for a mail art call. What is an original artwork?

There is only one Mona, yet there are millions of it. There…

Dream Series 3 [The Rules] - from Cheryl Penn

I have been waiting for the third of Cheryl's Dream Series (but not necessarily the chronological third) for several weeks. This forced awake state was well worth going through, because the dive into the next dream is just priceless. With this book we are leaving the House on the Hill and the Castle for a while, and the detective story is put in brackets. Instead, we…

Mail from Picasso Gaglione

A card from Picasso Gaglione (Chicago - USA) with on it Alison Knowles, Darlene Domel and Myself. A performance we did in April 2010 at the Stendhal Gallery in New York Ciry. He took this photo. Very nice to see these memories back in the mail with the funny rubberstamp attached to it.

Nancy Bell Scott's Bits

Christmas arrived early this week in the form of a brown paper package not tied up with string but it certainly contained a few of Nancy Bell Scott’s favorite things. 38 of them, in fact. All carefully annotated and laid out like specimens from a Library of Congress collection. There are bits of string, rust, a rock from Mexico and Nancy’s drugs of choice:…

I immediately liked this series when I saw one of Prettylily's cards on Katerina's blog. I think it's a great thing to do with colorful paper, I might "borough" the idea for some Christmas cards :-) Thank you Prettylily!!

Trashpo History Being Made

I was ecstatic to receive this envelope from Marie. It says, "Hi DK You have so many TrashBooks, I thought you needed a TrashBookmark. (The other piece is data collected from my mice, cells in the brain that are active during a memory task. Maybe Trash...) I couldn't believe I might be the first and only recipient of original Marie Wintzer Trashpo!!
