A hand from Bifidus Jones

A handsome hand, informative and reaching across the world: The bridge stamp is beautiful too.  The whole piece is an excellent collage work.  Other side:

Very nice handwriting, and I'm dying to read it all, but of course that isn't quite possible. …

"Minimal" art from prettylily Sue Bowen

Sue claims this is not as minimal as she would have liked, and I have to agree that it's not the most minimalist work I've seen, but it's extremely handsome and I love it.  Sue also said "...but it screamed NBS!"  There's probably a good reason for that, such as the fact that I too have a hard time doing anything minimal (art or not).

Rotated left is also appealing, and…

Received from Nadine Wendell, USA--Phound Photo

This domestic scene cracks me up. I love the multiple exposures going on--who wouldn't want the apparition of a chair growing out of their right shoulder. Uncle Hank is someone I want to have a whiskey with. Another piece for the fridge. Thanks, Nadine!

The Fake John Evans Collages (2011) - A New Magazette

In the spring of 2011, I received a collage template on plain letter-sized printer paper from the artist Oh Boy!  The instructions with the template were straightforward: add images and text to the collage and send it on to John Evans at the address printed on the template.  What follows on these pages are the collages I created; only the cover collage was sent to John…

Marie Wintzer Helpful Comic

Marie sent me this characteristically droll and precious book of fragile Japanese ephemera. Inside a delicate wrapping which looks like a catechism or a primer, is a comic book for which Marie has supplied helpful translations.

There's a lot of this going…

Diane Keys and the Miraculous Paper Plate

I've spent a lot of time running down our Postal System for a variety of reasons. Now I must take it all it back because of a remarkable thing that arrived last week. Diane Keys of Elgin, Illinois (home of the infamous Elgin Marbles) (hey, when I make a bad joke, I flog that sucka till I can hear the spleens ringing) Anyway, I arrive home from a hard day at the orifice and what did I find?
