Redwork Post

First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone who participated in The Philpott Lake Project and The Mail Art Experiment.  I can’t thank you enough for the generosity with which you shared your art and the patience you had with me throughout the process of putting together a webpage and exhibit for each. This round, I have a vision of creating a single piece of art incorporating…See More

Mail art feels like sending a message in a bottle, out into the vast waves of the Post.

I'm intrigued by the relative anonymity, yet intimacy, of correspondence art.

To explore, to make positive creative connections, to be free to express, experiment, and exchange.

The conversational aspect, whether or not any words are involved.

The excitement of distance and delivery.
Mail art is a worldwide network to explore in all directions.
I'm also interested in bits of mail art history.

Earthling, this may be the last but certainly it´s not the least welcome message to IUOMA you are going to receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. I´d love to be the other end if you wish to trade mail art with a celestial mail artist. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe
Terrene Embassy
Republik van Patland
Caixa Postal 24827
Curitiba-PR
80510-970
Brazil

I look forward to see a piece of yours in my terrene mailbox. I´ll do my homework after receiving your artwork. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.
