This piece to Diana was returned from the P.O. Apparently the robot assigned to check and cancel the stamp could not distinguish that i'd crossed out the previous cancellation and pasted a fresh stamp on. Will do-over.See More
"'Studio' is a bit grand; its an old cow shed on the edge of a village. It has had some renovation but is really too small to be useful and in the wrong place as far as building extensions and suchlike. It was long ago robbed of…"
"Duchamp's ball of string, 'Object with Hidden Noise' is one of my most desired objects (oh, if only . . .) but from photos I have seen reproduced in books, there is a look to the man that I don't quite trust. 'I'm…"
This weekend I'm reading The World of Marcel Duchamp at the beach. He and DADA have always been an influence and I suspect will become more of one on outgoing mail art after reading this. Kurt Schwitters has also been a motivator for me. Here's a link to some info on him for anyone interested in learning more:Kurt Schwitters Art, Bio, IdeasSee More

I don't enjoy social media and find old school snail mail to be a more genuine experience. In my studio in a barn I make paintings and mixed media of various sizes - many are definitely not mail-able. Robert Rauschenberg and Kurt Schwitters have been big influences, as well as outsider artists William Hawkins Henry Darger. I'm the author of two books, The Zorki Chronicles, a novel, and Crash Burn Love, a photography book, with essays. Had a bunch of exhibits at galleries and been in a few museum group shows, but generally, I hate the art world and have stopped participating. Other info: I read a great deal. Vegan for 35 years. I like to walk around and ride bicycles. Thanks for reading my profile and I look forward to getting to know a lot of new people.
