Great choice, Austin. I saw an interview with P Mc once where he said: "People constantly accused us of writing drug songs. That's really not true. 'Tomorrow Never Knows" is actually on of the few we consciously ever wrote on the subject and under the influence."

 

The lyrics seem to be mostly taken from the "Tibetan Book of the Dead."

 

"Play the game existence to the end.... of the beginning" is one of my fav lines. I also believe you can hear: "This is the end of the beginning" at the end of the track - which later on Frank Zappa used to mock the Fab 4 with "This is phase two of lumpy gravy" or something like that.
