A decalomania painting, I've decided it looks like a forest fire by a lake, what do you think?

I've been collecting original (ie not made in Japan or Singapore or somewhere like that) Polaroid cameras for a couple of years, and now have about 30 different ones.

And a Danish photographer friend and I have an Exhibition starting next month called "Samantha's Polaroids", featuring the lovely Sam, about 15 Polaroid cameras, and lots of Polaroid-type photos of Sam.

Wanna come?

Still use polaroid film (well its made by Fuji but you know what I mean) in my Mamiya RZ67!

I STILL think it's very nice.

Remember the good old Polaroid days? Point camera at subject, click, wait for photo to emerge, peel off paper, et voilà! a photo.

There's a sub-discussion looming here about the type of wine...but I'm more interested in the photo...which I like.

Its a sort of random abstract technique used in a load of fractal paintings you find round the web.

For this one  I thickly painted an a4 cutting mat with 3 stripes of acrylic paint (blue, yellow and purple) blended and mixed the edges a bit and dragged some of colours into each other.

Then plonked a sheet of watercolour paper on top of the the mess of paint and rolled it over with quite heavy pressure using a wine bottle as a rolling pin. Peeled it all apart and this is what I got.

I think it's very nice (even though I have absolutely no idea what a 'declomania painting' is: would you like to enlighten me, please?)
