Thank you, KDJ! I also meant to say, sometimes a few lines are made of this delicate old white thread I have (a huge spool)--but that didn't happen on this piece.

Thanks, Theresa. Sometimes I do scratch into the paint--a bit of that happened above--but the really thin lines (light-colored) are made with gel ink pens.

Nancy, these new photos are really marvelous.  I love the colors in this one.  How are those spidery lines made.  Did you scratch into the paint?  Just wonderful work.
