Yeah I will be folding the edges to stop handling injuries. but the basic can cutting preparations are quite tricky. soda cans are very springy things to try to to flatten down to work on.

I would buy the propersheets of embossing metal, but in the uk, its quite pricy for just a silly small size.  Besides. part of my creative taste is upcycling/recycling and scrappy art. so I might try a soda can again ive nothing to lose as its just garbage before i start and if it goes wrong its still garbage lol

Hey there Heather.....Thank you!

soda can post card sounds interesting, but I agree it could up being more hazardous than good. My envelope had folded edges as to not be sharp. It was thin gauge metal for embossing. I enjoyed doing it....it takes longer than you may think. LOL

Soda cans do make for good home made ruling pens and can create some gorgeous letters!

Wow! this is awesome, I wouldnt not like to recieve that in my mail :-)

On a side note, I recently did find a small set of metal foil embossing styluses in my craft stuff I bought ages ago with the intention of having a ago at  making metal postcards from soda cans. I had a go at cutting a can down for an attempt of practicing, but trying to cut the can carefully without crushing and denting it too much or cutting myself in the process, just proved to un-nerving for me as i dont want to get any injuries. but to buy the thing metal for this purpose is expensive.
