Yes, IKEA had a section for papers and notebooks and decorations,

and there were little packets of washi! But no BLUE :-(

Green, red hot pink, and black and white. And yes, the "OPEN ME"

was on a green roll, the others had the "LOVE"

Hello, washi-holics! :)

I came back to Korea from Japan on October 28.
I had a super great time with vizma there.

Yes, we bought a lot of washi tape rolls and visited mt exhibition in Tokyo together.
We ate, bought and laughed a lot.

Oh, Katerina, thank you so much for sending me mail art many times.
I sent something to you today.
Hope you like it! :)

Here are the washi tapes I bought in Japan this time.

Anyone?

...getting "LOVE" washi ????

Comment by Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat) on July 31, 2014 at 8:50am

Washiholics! Are we FEMALE-ONLY?

Or can we convince men to use washi too?

See here:

Gina Ulgen: The Circus is coming to town

Frieder Speck put nice blue and white washi on his envelope:

'Must send some tape to Hamburg...just to see if the

Haptic Werewolf will use it. Maybe some to In Seine

in Paris, too :-)

Hi Katerina,
I received your wonderful artwork again yesterday.
Thank you so much.
My mother-in-law got out of the hospital and she is doing well.
Thanks for your concern.

I sent something to you on the 18th.
I hope you get it soon.

Have a good weekend! :)

Hello, my sweet holics! :)

Finally, I came back to the mail art world.

It took a long time for me to return to this world.

I made something and sent it to Susan this morning.
I feel better.

BUT, my mother-in-law has been in hospital since last Monday. (sigh)

As you know, I lost a lovely girl by the terrible ferry accident.

One of my friend found bladder cancer in April and had the operation to remove it.

The operation was successful, but she needs to undergo immunotherapy for 2 years.

And one of my Japanese sister's cats passed away on July 5th. (So sad.)

Now, my mother-in-law is in hospital.

This has been a rough year so far.

I'll try to send you something as soon as possible.

Please be patient. :)
I'll definitely send something to you girls.

Claire, I love ephemera, too!

I've got many Japanese ephemera.
I'll send you some.

Have a good week, my friends!

P.S. This is the cat who passed away on the 5th.
Her name is Chibi.

She was 19 years old.

Thanks, Vizma...me is always in need of BLUE!

I saw some washi tapes on Amazon that have small clocks...may invest in them,

along with a few "Frenchie" tapes :-)

Comment by vizma bruns on July 1, 2014 at 4:48am

I bought my first set of 10 MT plain tapes! I'll send you some samples of the two blues, Kat!

Comment by Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat) on June 21, 2014 at 2:30pm

Oh, Claire! those "barcodes" are fantastic! (hint, hint)

Anyone ever find "clocks" on washi tapes? 'Would love some as

for now, some of my "sunsets" are milk caps :-) Thanks to Claire xxx

What a shame about the Central Park tape... but that chopstick one is the best! The suburbs map is nice, too. Um, yes to a card please, in case you were wondering whether to send to me! Ha ha ha!! Oh, Claire, I'm truly an addict now, last night I ordered another 11 rolls on etsy... one was a set of 10 dark mt tapes, just when I decided ENOUGH!!! ...sigh.... :-P

Comment by Claire (aka Cleo) on June 20, 2014 at 7:45am

Oh, this is the Central Park tape that sold out :(

btw, there were no flyers at the show, but I downloaded the poster image from the MT site and printed some cards myself. LMK if any one wants one (I'll include with samples...eventually of course...)

Comment by Claire (aka Cleo) on June 20, 2014 at 7:42am

No, just the bottom one. these are limited edition from the MT Online site (only ships to Japan though :( There were some other designs from this series I ordered though:

Really. Every time I pause and think, ok, time to not spend a bit, out comes yet ANOTHER great tape I can't resist!

Hey Kim, any new tapes lately?

Those carved stamps are lovely things, can't wait to see them in action!

Did you buy both of these tapes, Claire? There are so many gorgeous new ones being constantly released, I can't keep up, I wish they wouldn't do that! ;P
