We love those postal additions!

Some times mail art gets lost in the mail, and other times the mail company is so kind to add something to our mail art. Dynamic art, I love that!

In this group you can post the postal additions to the mail art that you´ve sent or received. Additions by the mail companies which made you smile, touched you or whatever. Additions which are, in fact, part of the Mail Art!

Ruud suggested me not to add to his mail art but to just enjoy. However, PostNL couldn't resist to add a 'Frankering Gecontroleerd' ('postage checked') stamp!  :-)

'Luv when the US Post puts on these postal code stickers

(usually on top of colorful envelopes)

'luv to recycle them on collage cards :-)

I am aways fascinated with those addings. We have to live in this automated world where machines only can read QR and barcode.

Sometimes postal additions are good, sometimes they make us shiver. Anyhow, after years of great rubber stamp prints, nowadays the post seems to love to add stickers!... What is your opinion about it?

Postal additions, thanks to postal additioners and Alan Brignull!

Thank you very much, Alan!

I thought the NL was made by you! It matches well with the background pictures :-)

These pen stripes are not as bad as they sometimes can be. And I found out that the quality of the stamps is good: using a piece of cloth and some water I made the stripes a little lighter (not too much, to keep some of the addition), and the stamps survived the water and rubbing!

Wow, it is kind of a horror show all on its own!

And even the stamp that did receive a machine postmark received the awful sharpie. I am enjoying the giant NL in a circle, as well. Never seen quite so much added.

Two postal additions to this mail from FinnBadger:

One of which I guess not all stamp lovers are fond of, and one which made it easier for the postperson to see to which address the mail should be delivered:

Thank you very much, FinnBadger!

Might have been the picture of the plant (with the '7 finger leaves') which has caught someone's attention underways?

In case some certain content is missing, we all should accept Royal Mail's invitation and write to the original country's postal authority. (or any country's customs, I guess?)

We're sorry, but it wasn't our fault. Don't blame us!
