“Travellers and explorers" 

 

• Share experiences and feelings related to travels and adventure, not only geographical but also as introspective exploration. Proposal linked to the innovative education project that is being carried out in the High School IES Valdespartera from Zaragoza (Spain) between the 1^st of November 2015 and 1^st of May 2016.The goal of this project is to create a great community of learning and experiences, open to the world, aimed at the students of this High School.

Propuesta vinculada al proyecto de innovación educativa "Viajeros y exploradores" que se desarrolla en el IES Valdespartera de Zaragoza (España) entre el 1 de noviembre de 2015 y el 1 de mayo de 2016. Mail Art Egg Project 2016

 

Dear Artist Colleague!

This is the 5th time that the Mail Art Egg Project is being announced.

 

Topic: egg, as a form, shape, pattern

Project time: 18th January – 20th March 2016

- Every art-piece has to be sent via post.

- No techical limitations: you can use pen or pencil, dye or chalk, B/W or colour, graphics, montage, collage, photo, etc. You can even create it in 3D.

– All art-pieces will be scanned and uploaded to my webpage (https://evamosonyi.wordpress.com).

- Similarily to the previous years, the entire collection will be donated to the Budapest Stamp Museum where – by the way – you can find the most stamps in the world. Since they just established their mail art section therefore these mails and postcards will be kept for the after-world and can be seen any time during opening hours.

- The collection will be exhibited also in the Budapest Stamp Museum  (47 Hársfa Street, Budapest) from 25th March to 1th April 2016.

I would like to ask your help in sharing this announcement to your friends, relatives, colleagues, so they can also participate in this project!

International Mail Art Project

For the biennial painting festival "The grape harvest in Tebano", which will be held in Faenza c/o the Tebano’s Wine Pole (http://www.polotebano.it/ ) approximately in September 2017, artists from all over the world are invited to participate in this mail art project organized by the Faenza’s Watercolorists Association. Everyone is welcome to participate, all ages and skill levels. The day of the festival there will be an exhibition of the received works. Moreover all the works will be published online in a special album on the Facebook page of the Watercolourists Association:https://www.facebook.com/groups/associazioneacquerellistifaentini/?... and later there will be pictures of the exhibition too.

Theme: “Grape harvest in the world”
Size: Postcard (10 x 15 cm / 4 x 6 inches) 
Technique: Free (watercolour, painting, drawing, collage and so on)
Rules: No jury, no fees, no return of the works (which will remain property of the “Associazione Acquerellisti Faentini”/”Faenza’s Watercolorists Association” and can reuse them for any subsequent exhibitions), not-for-profit, only original works, no copies. It is up to the artist to send in envelope or not, only 1 piece for each artist.
Deadline: Works must arrive by the 31st of July 2017.

Artists from all over the world are also invited to attend the biennial painting festival "The grape harvest in Tebano", where the mail art exhibition will take place. There will be a contest and everyone during the day will have some hours to paint on the site something about the festival’s topic. Rules will follow on the Association's Facebook page. A selected jury will declare the winners. 
The Watercolourists Association will provide some time before the necessary information to overnight in the city of Faenza (http://www.comune.faenza.ra.it/; http://www.prolocofaenza.it/), which is not only in a wonderful geographical position , but is also known worldwide for its beautiful ceramics and its splendid museum which contains an important collection of them (http://www.micfaenza.org/it/).

Taking advantage premiered a year and we seek to fulfill purposes, I propose to meditate in silence, as a means to find and define these purposes in a manner consistent with the situation of each. Then I invite you to tell us your experience or tells you that silence through art and postcard format. The guidelines to follow are:

· 10x15cm (portrait/landscape) on one side.
· Original and exclusive work.
· Send WITHOUT ENVELOPE.
· No selection process, all postcards received will be published and exhibited.
· The works will not be returned.
· Indicate on the back your name, country, and web / portfolio and an contact e-mail to receive a warning
if your work is sold.
· All works are for sale for 30 € (Subtract 20% for organization and dissemination. 24 € to the artist + 6 € to the organization).
· Deadline to send your postcard: March 18. (The postmark will be taken into account).
· We will create a online álbum with all the postcards with the authors data.

All disciplines are valid: drawing, painting, photography, collage, poetry… Postcards received will be shown in the blog www.confidenciasmudas.tumblr.com and on my facebook page (facebook.com/maryofthesnows). In addition we will seek to make with them all the possible physical exposures.

Eduardo Munez - A Film and Mail Art Project.

Have you ever received mail for someone you don't know?

We are making a short film inspired by the wrong mail.

Eduardo Munez tells the story of a man on the edge.... And a LOT of letters!

The original lndiegogo Crowdfunding Campaign for Eduardo Munez was 104% funded on December the 6th 2015 and the film is now in pre-production. You can watch our campaign video above! If you haven't already, you can still contribute (should you want to!) as we are now an InDemand project on Indiegogo. All additional funds raised will be spent on making our film the very best it can be!

Along with the funds needed to make the film we are also collecting lots of amazing letters from around the world for use in the film as props - what we don't want is for all the mail in our film to be boring junk mail! We are looking for mail artists and snail mail lovers to get involved in our project by sending us letters which we can feature in our film! We need a LOT of them!

We are looking for letters, particularly drawn envelopes, mail art and plain envelopes - not postcards. Most importantly the letters must be addressed to Mr Eduardo Munez.
We will have to change the production office address on the front of all the letters to the fictional address of the character in the film so please leave the address section fairly clear of decoration. Some of our Mail Artists have written the address in pencil - this is really easy for us to rub out and put in the fictional address so if it doesn't interfere with the design of your envelope too much, we'd recommend this as the best option.

In our film the letters to Mr Eduardo Munez do not get opened - so inside you can write whatever you like! You can use your imagination - who do you think Eduardo Munez is? What kind of mail would he receive?!

Once shooting on the film is completed we will video the team opening all the letters we have received and having a look at their mysterious contents...! We'll provide everyone who contributes with a password protected video link to watch them all being opened! All letter writers will also receive a special thanks in the credits too...

With each letter writer's permission - we will also publish them here and on our film Facebook Page.
