Dear Ruud,

Here in the United States there is a movement to send a postcard to the White House to tell Trump to cease and desist. Send him a Pink Slip!!! Tell him YOU'RE FIRED !!!
People here are organizing a March 15th, 2017 postcard mailing. Everyone send "You're fired" postcard to the White House.

The address is:
Donald Trump
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW,
Washington, DC

USA 20500

I thought this needs to include the International community, because the entire world is not happy with this man. We do not want a war with the world. We most certainly have one at home.

Thank you for sharing with the Mail Art world !!!

in peace, love, solidarity and RESISTANCE

Perry

Canada - Celebrating 150 Years Mail Art Exhibit

This year, Canada is celebrating its 150th birthday.  We asking artists or anyone out there to create & submit a small postcard sized piece of mail art. “Canada – Celebrating 150 Years Mail Art Exhibit” will run in conjunction with the Ninth Annual Art Among Friends Exhibition – September 30th & October 1st, 2017.  The exhibit is being organized by Grade 8 student Dakota Brann, whose older sister has ran 3 other successful Mail Art Exhibits over the years at Art Among Friends.  The event will be held at Laurentian Lodge, just 25 minutes north of Elliot Lake.

There will be no jury, fees and no returns of artwork! – All received pieces of artwork will be displayed and viewed by the approximately 1,200 visitors during the Art Among Friends weekend.   Everyone is invited to submit your artwork…no matter your artistic skill.  Teachers out there – Classroom submissions are very welcome too.   This mail art project is all about having fun.  The theme is Canada, so let your imagination go wild and have fun creating something awesome.

To Take Part in the Exhibition:

  • Artwork submitted should be postcard sized (approximately 4 inches X 6 inches)
  • Artwork can be a postcard/illustrated envelope, short poem or story etc. but must stamped and mailed through the postal system.
  • All submitted pieces will be viewed by all ages , so it must be in good taste.
  • Deadline for submissions will be September 27th, 2017
  • Please include on the back of your postcard – Your Name, City & Country.
  • All submissions are to be mailed to:  Canada – Celebrating 150 Years Mail Art Exhibit, c/o Dakota Brann, 69 Central Avenue, Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada, P5A 2G3.

All received pieces will also be posted to our facebook event page as they are received:

https://www.facebook.com/events/1000202590111789/

Thank You

Dakota Brann

This is the link https://mailasmile.org

but I also copy the text here:

We here at Mail a smile love animals and think it’s time to dedicate a mail art call to them. We believe it’s important to take care of our environment including all living creatures. Since so many are already extinct, we’d like to raise awareness of critically endangered animals to prevent further extinction.

This challenge lasts from February 1st – December 31st, 2017.

Create a postcard/letter or anything you wish to mail.

No entry fee, no returns, no size limit

Send your art work to this address:

            Mail a smile
           Budapest
           Pf.:20
          1554 – Hungary

The art-works will be displayed in an exhibition in 2018 in Budapest.

Send us a photo of your work so we can add it to our gallery and Facebook. (info [at] mailasmile [dot] org) or we can take a photo once your art work is received.

Pick an endangered animal from the list below. Once an animal is represented its name will be highlighted. We would be happy to receive more than one entry for the same animal.

See the list in this link: https://mailasmile.org

Thank you and lots of love,
