Val, Not to wormy...they don't attack unless provoked... on second thought, they might consider your harlequin hat a provocation....international incident here we come!....

Jen, thanks for posting the pics....I'm inspired....

Dean wanted to know what the linocut matrix looked like, here is a pic of an older print I did (before I got not-pregnant):

And there are the brayer (ink roller), burin (engraving tool with different size cutting tips), ink and an unopened speedball matrix.  I just draw in pencil onto the pink stuff and then cut away everything that isn't pencil.  Easy and fun.  And the pink rubber stuff is soft enough that you don't have to push hard to cut.  Real linoleum is much tougher and I'm surprised I didn't hurt myself.

David: I'm glad you said to stick with my girls, boys are so...plain!

Val: I love each one of your hats, and I want to get glasses frames like yours too, they are so cool!

Not yet!

I'm too worried to change hats, Katerina.

What are you worried about, Val? David's worms.

Did Dean just say:"To Dorset or not to Dorset"?

I thought he was from Minnesota?

(Aha...THAT explains the corset;-)

p.s.

Val....the Santa cap NOW!

Dean, this opens up 2 new possibilities: i) Blood Art (other bodily fluids are verboten) and ii) carpet art. Wotcha think?

Val (who went to the Musée de Chapeaux at le Somail and bought himself a very nice Gavroche Marseillese chapeau last week, but hasn't got a photo of it yet.)

Dear Jen,

Thank you for the Jen is Pregnant print you sent.  It is better "in person" than all the photos.  And the paper is funny.  So let me get this straight.  You take a piece of lino, and you cut away at it until it makes a stamp?  This stamp stuff is all new to me.  Can I ever see a photo of the stamp itself to see what it looks like?  I thought of trying it, but I am afraid to cut myself and bleed on our new carpet... or worse, the keyboard.  To corset or not to corset, that is the question.

Get back on those meds Mr. Val.  PS Next hat please!

I think we need a NEW Group called -- "Why is Dean wearing a corset?" If anyone would like to start it, I'll be one of its first members.

Liberté, Egalité and Why is Dean Wearing a Corset?
