Hannah Höch (fan club)

Hannah Höch (fan club)

Some mail artists add a stamp print to their mail art, saying 'Hannah Hoch Fan Club'.

Until I received these stamp prints I never had heard of this artist, who was born 1st of November 1889. She has been a collage / photomontage pioneer. She was part of the Dada movement and also became involved in the De Stijl art movement.

For anyone who has a Hannah Höch Fan Club Stamp (and interested others, I haven't one), this group can be the place to share your thoughts and mail art, tributing to and/or inspired by Hannah Höch.

Another wonderful box! What an exhibition they would all make together- but I am sorry, Jayne, that my little contribution has not yet arrived.  I shall have to consider sending a replacement . . .

Indeed, not need.

(the font is so small when I am posting a photo that I can hardly read it.  Maybe a better way is to post the photo alone, and then post a comment separately so it can be read easily.  (???)

Greetings to the HH Fan Club.  Even tho I missed the deadline I made this and wanted to share with the group.

It has been a real pleasure to see what everyone made and has created for their boxes.  Please keep posting!

Mary Anne, this was a great idea, conceiving of this project.  I am amazed at how something like this can be done in such a short amount of time.

Cheers to everyone involved.  Fabulous work need!  Debra

Bibianas box is really marvellous, but where did she get such a wonderful fitting cigar case? In Germany : no chance, but it is very good with its measures. I am working on quite another solution...

Another marvellous box!  I am feeling most inadequate but never mind; I have plans afoot!

The new box I found tonight is nearly square - 9 inches x 10 inches - and 2 inches deep so lots of space and everything looks much better within the new proportions.  The outside is a flat black but with a bit of effort I should be able to make it a little less than a funeral!

I agree with Mary Anne. Bibiana’s box is truly a work of art. I am loving all these gifts of creativity. Since I posted the content of my box, I have received a few more beauties from Judi and a bonus gift from Mary Anne because she thought the first gift was lost. Lucky me!

A lovely altered postcard from Judi.

A love letter from Kurt to Hannah from Mary Anne:

Here is the box I made from the box which was used to ship me a used copy of “cut with the kitchen knife”:
