Information

Hannah Höch (fan club)

Some mail artists add a stamp print to their mail art, saying 'Hannah Hoch Fan Club'.

Until I received these stamp prints I never had heard of this artist, who was born 1st of November 1889. She has been a collage / photomontage pioneer. She was part of the Dada movement and also became involved in the De Stijl art movement.

For anyone who has a Hannah Höch Fan Club Stamp (and interested others, I haven't one), this group can be the place to share your thoughts and mail art, tributing to and/or inspired by Hannah Höch.

Cascadia Artpost envelopes are in the mail to all participants!

Well my dears, I can report that I have had a successful weekend and that all my Birthday Box pieces are finished and their envelopes addressed.  All that remains is for me to mail them which I shall do this week in little batches.

I have done nothing but collage all week and resemble nothing more than an oversized glue brush so I am hoping the post system will not let me down.

Of the three I have already sent, with my usual collaged addresses on them,  only one has arrived (which is not a good success rate) so  I am using different sized envelopes (which are considerably plainer) and using a different post office, so one way or another I hope for better.

My next job will be to find a box but I am thinking that maybe it would be better to wait and see what arrives first.  Then I can come up with a good fit size-wise.

Hope everyone else is managing OK.  A dozen pieces in such a short time is quite a thing let alone finding the funds for stamps . . .

Mary Anne, your email didn't come through but I got a list from Catherine N. Thank you very much! If it shows up I'll let you know.

I now have a list of 12 names & addresses (including my own). I think that's the full list - for now anyway!

Hi Rosalie.  I have just sent you an E-mail - if it gets through your spam filter!

Let me know if it is ok.

How can I get the list of names & addresses?

Hi birthday party!  Now Mary Anns wonderful envelope arrived and my first presents will leave today! I have not the list like Visual Mom, but the eight participants, that Mary Ann named in the comment underneath. I will wait and see what is happening...

Mother has sent me a list of participants, together with their, addresses so let me know if you want a copy. I will try and keep it up-to-date.  Perhaps it would make the beginning of a nice contents sheet to put in the front of your boxes?

Thank you Mother for all your hard Facebook work.  We are all going to benefit from it and the project will be so much the better.  I am sure we all appreciate it . . .

Impressive deafening slap of the paste brush on envelopes is all I seem to hear here!  Thanks for the mention. A recent collage -
