Legnica Region - a unit of the administrative division of Poland, one of 49 voivodeships existing in the years 1975-1998, with the seat of the Region Governor and the Local Government Assembly in Legnica. The Legnica Voivodeship was located in south-western Poland, between the middle course of the Oder River and the Sudetes, in the area of Lower Silesia. The unit was established on 1 June 1975 as a result of a reform that replaced the three-tier administrative division of the country with a two-tier division. Postcard sent in 1979.

SOMETIMES I WONDER "WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE MAKE A POSTCARD OF THIS?'"

What is it? It's a bottling plant in Vittel, France, where, circa 1975, 400 millions of bottled water were shipped out each year. I am still wondering "Why on earth....?"
