Thanks Neil. I've been wanting to "translate" some DK pieces for a while. I've been negotiating with DK & she has agreed to let me use the transcriptions in a project with Ficus strangulensis that I think is going to very cool. More on that later.

Wow, all the Punk stuff. Pretty amazing. Great conversation.

It was funny - last I recalled that the 1st time I saw the DKs decades ago I was with Andrew (Weiss) - my oooold friend (ex beaux) who's now the bass player. And the links continue - he also toured w/ Rollins for many years in the late 80s/90s... Then was in Pigface, etc. He's mostly a producer now - has done most if not all Ween stuff. Rollins - well, I like his politics, but I found him a tad contrived - tried very hard to look like he was thinking too much. I was living in NY then, and we spent hours arguing the merits of ny vs LA.

Do you know Ginn's old SST band "Gone?" That was he, Andrew, and the drummer from Regressive Aid also, Simeon Cain. Blk Flag was auditioning bass players & flew Andrew out. Ginn said he was "too good" for BF, and created Gone.

There you go Neil. Henry Rollins was a poet & his stuff turned up in the zines too, although that might have been plagiarized, there was a whole lotta that.

Dead Kennedys, one band i never got to see! Saw black flag and others) Jello Biafra is quite the speaker and writer Too!. I got pulled over by customs coming back from England to Logan airport in Boston in the 80's because i was wearing a dead kennedys T-Shirt,didn't go over well in Boston.(Where i was born;Yeah Beantown!)

Didn't know that [about the EN connection... He's had quite a history indeed - very nice guy too! did you know he ran for mayor of SF in '79?
