Loving all the great posts in this group! Just wanted to share the odd shaped pieces I've recently created from 6-pack carriers. There was a total of eight.

Tiny wooden figures, three of them with some things attached.
I am curious to know if they'll arrive at all!..

I'll put them in the letterbox tomorrow (a birdhouse and bird to Mary, a bird and butterfly to Val, and the remaing three to Ripley), and will keep my fingers crossed that they won't get lost in the post :-).

The orange hand made it from the Netherlands to Florida! And is published on Ripley's website, together with even weirder mailed objects :-)

As a 'thank you' I received a book of Ripley, and also an other book - alas posted in a normal envelope, but with kind messages.

And today I posted a second object for the strange mail contest: a book. Well, that seems usual (apart from the fact that I posted it without envelope or any other cover). However the book is about mail, and I wrote about it here in IUOMA in an other group: it's about an Englishman who posted the most weird objects. Among them onions and: himself. And his bike :-) Over 110 years ago!

Great package which survived traveling via mail from Australia to the Netherlands:

And inside a cheerful and colourful content:

It was part of a 'Random objects' swap at the LEP.
Meanwhile I had send a teaspoon, packed in a small (so to the mail companies: odd shaped) package:

I am not sure whether it has arrived or not (and if not, if it will arrive at all - so I sent an other random object, this time packed in a normal shaped postal package, so not shown here :-) ).

Sent my first odd mail for the contest! I hope it will arrive well. However  it not really is strange mail: when I submitted the entry form, the receiver replied that he liked it and that he already had received a green one! :-)

Thanks to Eva's weblog post my attention was attracted to this contest:  Ripley's Strange Mail Contest!

Sure all of you must have great ideas to post to Ripley, looking forward to see it here, too (if you want to participate and share your picture here, too, of course) :-)

I still keep hope it'll arrive one day!

Anyhow, the pickle is great, too!
