Significant dates for the diary (some might say...)

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

New to mail art..

I'm new to mail art, but am looking forward to making this a hobby!  I like photography A LOT, in fact, I'm working on a project of a "Picture a Day".  It's an idea I got from a man who took a polaroid a day for 17 years until he lost his battle…Continue

Oooops I take that last comment back. Obviously £59 sale is not for weekends. Meh.

I've put the Paris meeting up on the IUOMA Meetings group so that there may be interest beyond the 365 group - http://iuoma-network.ning.com/group/meetings/forum/topics/mim-s-in-...

If it's ok with everyone, I think we should start booking tickets. Eurostar has a £59 sale on for return tickets from London (I'm sure they always have this on), so we may be able to grab a bargain.

Scott are you in?

Katerina, Scott, Mim - 18-19 is fine for us too. Let's start booking if that's a green light!

Scott and Andy...how about February 18-19? Better for Valentine in Sigean and for me, too. It is possible that I will be in Athens, so I will NOT fly to London, but go direct to Paris! Let's meet at Mim's place, Yay!

Anyone else can get to Paris in February????

Comment by andytgeezer on January 16, 2012 at 11:47am

Scott - we do plan to go to Paris - Katerina should be coming over here and we'll jump on a Eurostar and head over as a mailart contingent. We'd love to have you along!

I suggest the weekend of 11-12, although this may be expensive as it's near Valentines day. Lets check prices if that works for everyone

This is exciting that people might actually come for a meet-up in Paris. I don't have a phone here, using Skype, but people can call the Cite and they'll ring up our studio. So a bit of coordinating is needed. Off to La Poste for more stamps.

Andy,

Do you know when you and others are going to Paris? Would love to come along if that's o.k.?

Scott.

Have enjoyed all the nice things people have said about my daily mailart.  Mostly I don't respond but each and every response means a lot to me. THANK YOU all. X

Thank you Katerina, but you know, eventually I always come back to pen and portrait!

So far Laura, three down and it still a slow process for me but definately a good diversion. Going to try a new layout and transfer method this weekend to speed things up.
