Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

AAARGH! I can't wait to get started! I have so much mailart that I just want to post it all RIGHT NOW! I may start posting it all up on www.andytgeezer.com, my lately-neglected personal blog. IT's about time I gave that some focus. I think I'll start posting my mailart up there.

Camel - any ideas if there is a way in a collaborative blog to make a filter that can easily pull out each contributors posts? It would be ace to filter by contributor

Thanks for that tip Camel - Live writer has been recommended to me before, but I've not had a chance to try it yet. I'll give it a go this time. Thanks for testing it out!

Elenas drawings-1

I'm so proud of Elena - she's never thought to do art and only recently took up drawing. She's also taking part in mailart365. Here's one of the first things she has ever drawn.

She sent it to her favourite mailartist, the amazing Ubon, who I rate very highly indeed, and got a happy reply.

Read the comments on this on her flickr site (just click the pic it will take you there) - it warms my heart

It's DAMN cool that's how cool it is! I use it across all my blogs. Anyone have any ideas on drafts? I think there's nothing I can do about visibility, all I can say is that I won't peek.

...honest.

Ah yes I see what you mean Postmuse - looks like people can see others drafts. I'll see if there's anything I can do about that...

I changed the comments system to use Disqus cos it allows co-moderation of comments, so Camel is helping out with the moderation. I've been meaning to change them anyway, I don't like native blogger comments, and this allows people to reply and discuss each piece in detail.

Okay, so Camel O-Rama has a draft post and I can see both the text and the images (if I click the link for "image") so I think I won't do drafts from now on.

P.S. I like the Santa, Camel O-Rama, even though I don't celebrate Christmas. Have you read Santa Steps Out by Robert Devereaux? Not super well-written, but Santa cheating on Mrs. Claus with the Tooth Fairy has its moments.

It is sort-of scheduled, but I don't want it to auto-post on 1 Dec because I need to add more to it, like the completed postcard, so I have it as draft right now, which will prevent it from posting until I hit the publish button. What I want to know is if others can actually see what I've written so far, or the images. I don't want to spoil surprises, so if others can see my drafts, I won't do them.
